THE IDEA OF THE BIERCONVENT INTERNATIONAL E.V.

Of all the drinks in the world, none is as widespread in all countries and on all continents as beer. In the course of thousands of years, beer – probably the oldest drink prepared by man – has conquered a firm place as refreshment and enjoyment in many variations among all classes of the population of this earth.

What, then, is better suited – regardless of all social and national differences – to serve as a friendly mediator from person to person, for encounters, conversation and the conscious search for common ground than beer? for common ground than beer?

This fundamental idea led to the founding of the Bier-Convent International. The members of this brotherhood call themselves Notable. They are admitted in a solemn enthronement under award of the insignia into the circle of friends.

The Notables have committed themselves to the goals, which are shown in the statute of the BierConvent International

to promote the responsible consumption of beer as a noble beverage of cultivated hospitality,

  • to maintain the venerable tradition of beer and to promote its social appreciation,
  • to explore, in cooperation with researchers, the physiology, psychology and specific environment of beer
  • beer and to make the results of this research available to the general public,
  • to cultivate friendship and conviviality.

The BierConvent International welcomes all personalities and activities that promote the good cause of the beer
in the sense of the notable brotherhood, cordially welcome.
