Mourning of our BCI - Honorary MemberProf. em. Ludwig Narziß

Prof. Dr. Ludwig Narziß was a fascinating man

Prof. Ludwig Narziß

Prof. Dr. Ludwig Narziß was a fascinating person and a brilliant rhetorician. He could also listen with great intensity. This made him so likeable (here at the age of 94, in conversation with Stanislav “Standa “Prochàzka, at the International Friendship Meeting of the BCI 2019 in the Hotel Adlonin Berlin). He attributed his iron health and mental fitness, in his own words, to his moderate consumption of beer. The “Beer Pope” from Weihenstephan was held in high esteem, especially by brewers in Japan. Prof. Narziß was the world’s best-known scientist in the brewing industry. He did much to spread the high image of German beer and German brewing technology. Four Munich personalities founded theBierConvent International e.v. (BCI) in January 1969.As the only one of the founders, our notable friend had his origins in thebrewing industry. Already known worldwide at that time as the beer pope, he managed to make theBCI the “world market leader of beverage networkers”. For this, our warmest thanks to you, Notabler Ludwig Narziß.- r.r.knut –

Developing beers for a brewery at the age of 26 at the LGA in Nuremberg:

Returning to the core concern: To represent beer as communicative and healthy.
